On Wednesday morning Ethan woke up from his nap to find 3 of his little friends here, Isla, Charlotte, and Shay (yeah, a boy!). It is definitely fun to see Isla and Ethan interact and actually notice each other. Charlotte and Shay are too little at the moment, I'm afraid Ethan would roll over them. The funny thing is that in a year or so the couple month age difference will be negligible, they will all be running around and having us mommies chasing after them!
"Why hasn't mommy and daddy given me this fun-looking thing?"
"Oh, Isla!"
"Oops, we've been caught!"
On Saturday David went to a local grocery store to buy some organic veggies. He found acorn squash, butternut squash, and sweet potato. So, on Sunday we had a cooking and pureeing party and made the acorn squash and butternut squash. Ethan had the acorn squash yesterday and seemed to enjoy it. We are trying to get through the "yellows" first because I read that they are more palatable than the "greens", but it really depends on what you read. Some say that the order in which foods are introduced doesn't really matter. My only fear is that he will turn yellow (yes, this really does happen, I've actually seen it!). So far it has been fun making Ethan's food. Since it has been hot lately yesterday afternoon we decided to put Ethan in his little swimming pool out in the backyard. We think he liked it, he didn't cry at least!
We also had a delicious BBQ with Maya and Peter and Ethan got to play with Auntie Maya. Thanks Maya for bringing the yummy food!

Thanks for the update!
Yey! There's nothing as cute as the Zantac wiggle!
I am so excited about Ethan eating new foods - and if her turns orange, just blame it on a bad summer tan!
