Snapshot

A quick snapshot of the kiddos...

Ethan in one word is inquisitive! He loves asking questions and figuring out exactly how things work! He also loves helping out daddy and riding his big wheel.

He's been really into cars and trains lately. He is especially interested in tail pipes, he even tells me that Emily has "tail pipe" nose if she has sneezed and needs her nose wiped. He'll even be specific and say if it's a "one tail pipe nose" or "two tail pipe nose". I am not really sure where this interest in tail pipes came from, but it is pretty much all he looks for when we are out. He has even cataloged in his head which cars have certain types and locations of tail pipes!

Katelyn in one word is a ham! She has definitely been growing up lately. Her vocabulary and ability to express herself verbally has dramatically increased. After giving Ethan a hair cut, she told me, "I need a hair cut just like daddy, Ethan, and Emily. My hair is too long." Poor Emily's hair has been slow to grow out!

She's beginning to show more of an interest in playing with friends (besides Ethan), it's been fun to see her interact more with kids her own age. She is always making me laugh and knows exactly how to tease me or her brother!

Emily in one word is joyful. She literally brightens my day, no matter what is going on. She has just started sitting independently and is beginning to play with toys more. I'm amazed at how long she can entertain herself in our living room!

She also started crawling just before she turned 9 months old. She's definitely enjoying the new found mobility and is quickly gaining speed!
