Fire!

 A friend invited us to join their preschool co-op on their tour of a Fire Station, we were excited to check one out!

The fireman showed us all the equipment on the fire truck and Ethan eagerly soaked up all the information!

Who knew that the very next day they would be called to work hard against fires all over the county! We've learned by now to pack up a few essentials, even if the fire is far away. Given the Santa Ana winds during this time, you never know how the winds may change and shift the direction of the fire.

This is the fire on the mountain behind our house as we were evacuating. This was definitely a frightening time! Thankfully, we had a good friend offer her house for us to retreat to for the day and we had grandpa and grandma's house to stay the night. We returned to our house the next morning, thankfully no harm done in our neighborhood!
