Unspeakable Joy

The holiday season can be an especially busy time of the year... putting up the Christmas tree, decorating the house, buying Christmas gifts, and the list goes on. Some increased responsibilities at work coupled with a teething baby (i.e. sleepness nights) have made this busy time into an insanely stressful and tiring time for me. David has graciously let me open my stocking stuffer early and I have been listening to Chris Tomlin's new Christmas CD in the car. There is this one part of Joy to the World that I catch myself humming throughout the day...

Joy, unspeakable joy
In overflowing where no tongue can tell
Joy, unspeakable joy
Rises in my soul, never lets me go

... this is my desire, joy that is so amazing that it is unspeakable. To me, Christmas is a time to celebrate the gift of Jesus' birth with family and friends and this time, if any, should be filled with an unspeakable joy. Despite the craziness that life seems to be, I want to find this kind of joy. My hope and wish is that you will also find an unspeakable joy, one that spills over into the rest of the new year!

Hang in there, it may be hard to find that peace and calm, but it will come.
We are all here to support you and your family.

Love, Dad
