In celebration of my dad's birthday, this year we all gathered in Solvang for a weekend getaway. We stayed at a rental house that really had everything we needed to just relax and have a great time.

There were some people going by on a horse ride and we ran out to see the horses. They were kind enough to turn around and let us pet their horses, and even get on them! Auntie Jo was brave enough to go on with Katelyn.
Then it was Ethan's turn!
The next day we checked out a local park. Staying cool with the misters!

After the park it was time for lunch and a special treat in downtown Solvang!

We even did a little pond fishing back at the house!
We didn't catch anything, but it was worth a try!
