Big Bear Lake

To celebrate Grandpa's birthday, we got to spend almost a week at Big Bear Lake with David's family in this wonderful cabin that was right on the lake.

We took family pictures with the stunning lake as our background.

(Where is Brian when you need him? He's the only one who can get Ethan to really smile in pictures!)

It was great having the house right on the lake and being able to go play in the water whenever we wanted. Ethan loved playing in the water and sand, and getting "messy", of course.

There was this great patch of dirt in the backyard under a few trees that kept the kids entertained for great periods of time, it was glorious!

We went minature golfing for the first time, thankfully it was a small course. After some hesitation, Ethan was finally comfortable towards the end to test out his golfing skills. I'd have to say, his skills are much better than mommy's!

We rented a pontoon and explored the lake one morning. Ethan was a bit unsure of the ride...

...but enjoyed driving the boat with grandpa.

We went hiking one morning and I thankfully survived the one and a half mile hike, it definitely left me tired at the end of the day.

And David survived carrying Ethan on his back despite the warm weather!

We had a fun week, thanks grandpa and grandma for the great vacation!
