Wedding Fun

Last weekend we had the honor of attending a wedding for one of David's good college friends up in the LA area. The wedding was at the bride's parents' home and it was an absolutely beautiful wedding ceremony and reception!

The ceremony!

We were in the very last row trying to keep the kiddos as quiet as possible, snacks, books, playing with sunglasses, and Ethan throwing bird seeds everywhere. Whatever to keep them quiet!

The reception area! This picture doesn't truly capture how beautiful it was!

The party girl. Would you believe she stayed up the entire time?

This was the most kid friendly wedding I have been to, although we haven't been to too many after having the kiddos. For the reception we were given seats at the end of the row so that we could be close to the kid table. They had a kid table set up with crayons and bubbles to entertain the kids before dinner. And then for dinner each kid was given a box of Terriyaki chicken, fruit salad, Hawaiian bread roll, goldfish, cookies, and a juice box. I was thoroughly impressed with how thoughtful they were with the kids!

Blowing bubbles!

Dinner at the kid table. Ethan did really well hanging out with the older kids and I was surprised at how much he was interacting with them.

Enjoying yummy Gelato while dancing!

They had a Gelato bar instead of the wedding cake and I loved it! Ethan had a blast dancing and everyone loved watching him get his groove on!

This sums up the night for me, the wedding card, unsigned, pen ready, still in our bag (and it came home that way!). Fortunately we had already sent our gift! We had a blast, although was constantly busy with our two little ones, so not a moment to spare to sign the card.

Since staying in hotels with two young ones is not fun for us, we decided to just drive back after the wedding. We left close to 10:30 and thankfully both kiddos fell asleep right away in the car and we didn't hit any traffic. It was a perfect night and we had a great time!

They are growing up so fast, it is great to see Ethan hanging out with other kids.
