Indiana - Part 1

We took a family vacation to Indiana for a week and a half and we had a fun time seeing family we don't get to see as often as we would like. The impetus for our trip was David's cousin's wedding, so we decided to make a vacation out of it. Our time there was packed, so it will take me more than one post to share our trip...

David and I were both dreading the flights out to Indiana because our last plane trip to the Bay Area was awful. Ethan had such a difficult time while landing, we were sure that this trip would be a repeat. We found these travel ear plugs for kids, which worked wonders! We were definitely skeptical, but we thought it was worth a try. Now we will never be on a plane without them!

It was such a treat that our second flight wasn't full! Ethan really enjoyed sitting with grandma.

Ethan loved being with his older cousins. This is the first time that we have seen them since Ethan is able to walk and talk. I think they all enjoyed hanging out together and Ethan especially liked feeling like he was a "big boy".

Katelyn loved watching everyone and was a part of the action as much as possible. Kenna took great care of her and showered her with tons of love.

We tried our best to keep our two squirmy kids as quiet as possible during the wedding. We inevitably moved to the back of the church, although I'm sure our kids seemed ten times louder to us than they really were. The ceremony itself was beautiful, we wish Austin and Brittany all the best!

The ring bearer passed out before the reception even began. Katelyn enjoyed climbing all over him and even put her head on him to snuggle.

The reception was a chocolate fountain, wedding cake, and dancing. What better way to end an evening than with dessert?

The next day we had a family reunion and had a feast. It was nice being around our extended family and catching up as much as we could while watching our two little ones.
