Determined

I am constantly amazed with Katelyn and think "determined" is a good word to describe her right now. She thinks that she can keep up with Ethan and does her best to do so.

She's beginning to walk with walking toys, however sometimes the toy gets away from her and she gets frustrated when she runs out of walking room. She's also practicing her standing skills and will stand for about 10 seconds independently.

She has somehow learned that she can climb up onto the couch by first climbing onto Ethan's chair. I think it is because Ethan usually puts his favored items on the couch to keep them out of Katelyn's reach, although this won't work for much longer! She does get this cute look of pride and joy when she gets a hold of something she knows is coveted by Ethan, I love it! She also loves crawling up the stairs (with me close behind her, of course) and will bolt for the stairs when the gate/door is left open and knows I'm busy at the moment. She's so determined, it makes me smile!
